Autumn whale watching this year (2024) has been quite memorable, with great weather and great whales!

On October 13, 2024, our Seattle (Edmonds), Port Townsend AND Port Angeles tours had a special encounter in the Strait of Juan de Fuca west of Victoria, BC. A Bigg’s Orca Superpod assembled with nearly 20 members of the T49A, T35A, T65B, T46B1 families (and T46C2)  breaching, splashing and vocalizing.

Along the way we saw lunge-feeding humpback whales near Race Rocks Ecological Preserve. Humpbacks are still in the Strait in  impressive numbers – Fall whale watching at its finest!
